Does The Vendor Have A Good Track Record One very important important question you need to answer when picking an affiliate product is…

Does the vendor have a good track record?

The track record is the only way for an affiliate to judge whether the vendor is someone they want to promote for.

Affiliates think a lot like investors…

So as an affiliate do you want to invest your time, effort & reputation in this vendor’s product hoping to get a return?

I found a quote that speaks to this very subject…

If there’s a proven track record, the odds are higher that success can be repeated. This is what we investors always hope for.”

Most platforms that are used to promote affiliate offers have a lot of data to help you decide if the vendor is a good fit for you and your audience.

You can go on these platforms like JVZoo and Warrior plus and all the data is there.

Be sure to check the following…

Make sure to check whether or not they have a big refund rate.

Naturally the smaller the refund rate the better, it gives you less of a chance of having to give commissions back.

How many sales they’ve made?

If the platform has a rating system for each vendor make sure it’s a favorable one before asking to promote that vendor’s products.

What’s the EPC (earnings per click)?

The higher the EPC the better because it typically means the vendor knows what they’re doing.

How many products have they created as a vendor?

It’s always good to choose offers from a seasoned vendor rather than a newer vendor, the seasoned pros will typically have customer support in place etc…

How long have they been in business?

How long have they been selling their products as a vendor on these platforms like JVZoo and Warrior+ or ClickBank?

It depends on where you want to look for for offers but every platform that I have used has plenty of info available on each vendor for you to make an intelligent decision.

One more way to check on vendors is to check with other affiliates that you know and trust their opinion.

Just ask on your Facebook wall for recommendations and for them to PM you with the recommendation.

You can also ask members in a Facebook group that you belong to for recommendations and ask them to PM you…

Just make sure that you read the rules of the group before you do this so you don’t get kicked out of the group.

Some good questions to ask these affiliates are…

Does the vendor get back to people who buy and answer their questions in a timely manner?

Are previous products that they have sold still selling?

There are many ways to check out a vendor and their products.

One really good way is to ask the vendor for a review copy because you’re considering promoting their product.

If the product is something you would like and buy, chances are that your audience will like and buy it too.

Good luck, now go out there and take some action!!!
